CR2224 Two Piece Compact Nuclear TV Camera
![]()
The CR2224 is a two piece radiation tolerant camera which will operate
in dose rates up to 1 x 106 Rads/hr. This camera is mainly used for
inspection purposes because of its small size and ease of deployment.
Examples of applications include pipe inspection and difficult access
areas such as reactor core shrouds. The camera is supplied with either a
standard wide angle or zoom lens. The housing gives protection to
IP68 and is submersible in up to 50m of water at up to 50C. The zoom
version of the camera has a low power internal lighting ring but
external lighting may be fitted if required.
CR2225 Single Piece Radiation Tolerant Camera
![]()
The CR2225 is a single piece radiation tolerant camera. It will operate in dose rates up to 106 Rads/hr and accumulated dose of 108 Rads.
It is typically used for surveillance and viewing in radiation areas, such as waste management and vitrification facilities, as part of a system
of multiple cameras controlled from a remote point. Close inspection of components can also be performed using the macro-focus facility.
It will operate at depths of up to 50m at temperatures as high as 50 degrees and may be mounted on pedestals or pan and tilt units controlled
via a single 9 core cable carrying all signals and power for the camera and accessories such as lights.
CR2226 Single Piece Radiation Tolerant Camera
![]()
The CR2226 is camera that has evolved from a long pedigree of radiation
tolerant camera design and manufacture. The concept marries a high
specification camera with simple construction to avoid the costly
environmental protection of the CR2225. The CR2226 camera has been
specifically designed for applications that require good performance at
high radiation doses and the need to have a high accumulated radiation
tolerance. It is a single piece camera that
operates from a low voltage mains adaptor and is supplied with or
without lenses and cable.
CR2227 Shielded CCD Nuclear TV Camera
![]()
The CR2227 camera has been designed for use in relatively high radiation
environments and can withstand dose rates of 50 Gy/Hr and survive an
accumulated dose of 1000 Gy which is 10 times the dose rate of a
standard CCD camera. The sensor module may simply be replaced when
accumulated dose is reached, with the camera and optics being re-used.
The shielding may also be increased to extend the life up to 100 times
that of an unshielded camera. The camera has hard mounting points for
lights and microphones etc. The camera may be supplied for black and
white or color operation.
CR2228 Ultra Wide Angle Viewing System
![]()
The CR2228 system enables an operator to view up, down and sideways with
a 1800 angle of vision from a single view port. Additionally, it is
possible to record the whole or any part of an enclosed area as well as
the ability to zoom the view anywhere within the 1800 angle of vision.
The system is constructed from radiation tolerant materials and fits
standard 6” viewing ports. All moving and mechanical or electronic parts
are situated outside the radioactive zone for ease of maintenance and
the relay system, which can be either long or short for different
thickness walls, has built in shielding. The static front element
projects only 15mm in to the contaminated area. The image is full colour
and in real time and can be used to view and collect archive images of
close up detail or the entire scene.
