Customer Service Officer

We are looking for a Customer Service Officer to join our Commercial team. This role would be suitable for either an experienced Customer Service Officer who has previously worked in an engineering or manufacturing environment, or an engineering graduate looking to move into technical sales.

As the Customer Service Officer, you will:

  1. Act as the prime point of contact for existing customers and manage routine requests for information about the Company and its products.
  2. Liaise with customers on price and availability, providing timely updates on order progress as required, ensuring a consistent and high quality level of service.
  3. Manage customer returns and complaints.
  4. Liaise with other departments and personnel to ensure alignment of activities and communication.
  5. Carry out general sales administration and support duties to other departments, including order processing, returns processing and data entry.

The successful candidate will be friendly, hardworking and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will also have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A warm, approachable manner
  • At least two years experience in a customer service position
  • Extensive experience using MS office software
  • Experience using database management systems/ERP systems
